[From Brockholes Station, drop down to the main road, and head through to Holmfirth, on to the A6024 which heads up the Holme Valley; from memory it is 3-4 miles to reach Holmbridge.]
Swing left round the church in Holmbridge, and cross the River Holme. Cross a second wee beck, and turn left again - and start climbing; carry on straight ahead until you reach the second junction - Hinchliffe Primary School is up on your right.

And again, you keep going straight ahead, except for a short right-then-left dogleg at High Flatts. That takes you down to Upper Denby - carry straight on through, until you reach the A635 in Lower Denby, with the Dunkirk pub in front of you.
For the station, you could turn left here, when you reach the A635, but it is a busy, fast road - better to go straight ahead for about half-a-mile, and follow the sign for the cycle-route to Denby Dale? Or carry ...
