Route

Turn right out of Haworth station, and right again to cross the railway line and climb to Main Street; turn left to join the WYCR.

As you come off the right hand bend, take a left into Oxenhope.   You'll join the A6033, heading for Hebden Bridge.   About half a mile's climb out of the village, you come to a minor crossroads - turn left, up the steep hill.   Long steep climb to the top of Ovenden Moor, past the wind farm, and descend the other side.

Just after the village of Wainstalls, you'll come to a cross-roads - take a right, and follow the road to the bottom of the Luddenden valley; as you climb back up, you reach the hamlet of Booth - take a sharp right to double back into Jerusalem Lane.   At the end of the lane, take a sharp left, which will take you round the side of the hill to Midgley.

Turn right through the village.   You could follow this road down into Mytholmroyd, for the station or some easy riding along the canal side, but the WYCR bears right and keeps to the valley side, round almost as far as Chiserley.   Just before the village, take a left, for the steep descent into Hebden Bridge.

When you reach the A646, follow the signs for Halifax - the railway station is just out of town, on the other side of the canal and river.
