Funny old weather - with some surprisingly warm mild days.   Not much to do except essential pottering.   You know all those bits of rubbish lying around?   The slugs are hiding there - expose them to frost and cold; stop them breeding next spring!

Get your catalogues in plenty time to browse on long dark evenings (and "suggest" appropriate Christmas presents).

General Tasks

»  A good time to clear slug shelters from your plot - rubbish, pots, plastic, wood, stones, bricks; let the slugs freeze!
»  Check crops in store - remove any doubtful potatoes, onions, and roots.
